~~ SPOILER AHEAD! ~~
What happened in the Shibuya Incident Arc?
Shibuya Incident arc is by far the most devastating arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. Honestly, I can assure you that the fans are not prepared to see the Shibuya Incident arc because many will lose their favourite characters and the plot will suddenly thicken.
Many were objecting to the Hidden Inventory arc as it portrayed a flashback story of Gojo, Geto, and others’ teenage. But that was an important development. That arc was an answer to many previous questions. How was Gojo in his teenage? Why did that carefree Gojo turn into a charming yet serious Sensei? The plot of Shibuya is directly connected to those previous developments.
Even though JJK shares the title of “The Dark Trio” with Chainsaw Man & Hell’s Paradise it has yet to display its dark side. Shibuya is going to be an important arc for dark anime lovers and fans will lose their carefree and funny JJK.
As shown in the earlier Season 1 Geto plans to seal Gojo in the Prison Realm and turn Sukuna to their side. But he was unable to do so in Season 1. So he will finally start his plan to take action in the Shibuya incident.
At the end of Season 1 Gojo mentioned that there’s a traitor in the Jujutsu High. Finally, it was revealed that Mechamaru (Kokichi Muta) is the traitor. He was ultimately killed by Mahito on 19th October 2018. Then Under Geto’s instruction, the Cursed Spirits finally start executing their plan to trap Gojo.
On 31st October 2018, they trapped many civilians in the Shibuya station and invited the Jujutsu High Sorcers to take action. When the sorcerers reached the place they find out that the huge screen is only blocking normal civilians to pass however the sorcerers can move inside and outside of the barrier easily. They intervened in the place with many small groups. But Gojo was invited alone in the direct confront against Mahito, Jogo, Hanami & Choso. Geto was hiding behind.
Gojo had a huge handicap in that battle. He could not expand his domain or use his Curse Technique at its full potential or the civilians will get hurt. The whole thing was well planned they managed to corner Gojo. But Gojo is the strongest Bruh! He easily outsmarted them and killed Hanami on the spot.
When Gojo had almost turned the tides of the battle suddenly Geto appeared. Geto’s appearance was a huge shock to Gojo because he killed Geto with his own hands and even though he had turned evil Gojo always believed Geto as his best friend. This is exactly why the flashbacks were important upon seeing Geto, Gojo’s emotions went berserk and he paused for a while and Geto trapped Gojo in the Prison Realm.
The biggest plot of JJK was revealed then Gojo was furious before entering the realm he asked Geto who he is. Gojo was sure that it can’t be Geto he knew his best friend more than anyone. Finally, the main antagonist of the show is revealed Kenjaku reveals himself and tells Gojo that he has taken Geto’s body. He knew that stopping Gojo would be impossible in regular manners so he had to use some underhanded ways.
Gojo getting sealed was a huge blow to the Jujutsu High they became desperate to free him. But unfortunately, the other two Special Grade Sorcerers Yuki & Yuta were not present there. It can be said that Kenjaku was well-prepared for his plan. He had anticipated every outcome of that devastating battle.

Who dies in Shibuya Incident?
The Shibuya Incident Arc of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will surely be an “All hell breaks loose” event for those not expecting it.
As I have mentioned earlier that Shibuya will be a huge blow to the fandom many fans will lose their favorite characters in this arc. In the devastating battle of Shibuya after Gojo was sealed the Cursed Spirits had the upper hand in the battle. They deployed many Special Grades to stop the Jujutsu Highs on their way to get Gojo’s Seal. One after another many battles broke out in Shibuya and the situation turned bloody within a short time.
Nanami and many other sorcerers were trying their best to reach Gojo. On the way, they met a Special Grade cursed spirit. They engaged in a battle against it. Nanami, Maki, Megumi, and a Zenin clan elder fought against it. Even though they outnumbered the enemy. The Cursed Spirit suddenly opened its domain and turned the tide of the battle.
When they were confirmed of their loss suddenly Toji appeared out of nowhere. He was resurrected during a battle. The Zombie Toji was running amok in the battlefield to find strong opponents dude literally obliterated that Cursed Spirit. Megumi stays behind to hold Toji. When Toji realised that its Megumi he finally killed himself with a smile on his face.
It was an emotional scene before his death Toji realized that Gojo has kept his word and taken good care of Megumi. Toji was relieved to know that Megumi does not share the surname of Zenin. But Megumi was too tired from the battle and he stays behind.
Nanami forced his way through swarms of Curses and finally dies in the hand of Mahito. As shown previously Mahito was a wicked cursed spirit whose intention was to drive Yuji mad and break his mental state. He killed Nanami in front of Yuji. Yuji was already tired because of his battle against Choso.
His head went blank when he witnessed the death of Nanami. Yuji cared deeply for Nanami, but he was already panicked because of Gojo now when he show Nanami dying. He lost his rationality and fought with Mahito with everything he had. But Mahito did not stop at that.
He lay his traps very carefully and lured Nobara into the battle. Once again he killed Nobara in front of Yuji. Her death is not confirmed yet but she took a great blow from Nanami in the battle at it is assumed that she is dead.
Other than these two major characters many background characters died in the battle of Shibuya. The Shibuya arc is going to be mentally exhausting for many viewers. It’s the biggest turn for JJK they will finally show their worth in the Dark Anime Community.
From the sources, it’s clear that MAPPA will animate the whole Shibuya arc in 18 episodes so guys get ready and stay tuned. But I have a huge doubt regarding this matter because the Shibuya arc has more than 70 chapters and they are very detailed so it won’t be easy to fit the whole arc in only 18 episodes. Unless MAPPA plans to divide the JJK Season 2 into 2 parts. This is the news we know so far about JJK. So let’s wait and see what MAPPA decides finally.
But no matter when and where the Shibuya comes out guys just watch the Shibuya arc and don’t forget to tell me your experience in the comment section.
